We are a short drive from Mahee Island which has one of the prettiest 9 hole golf courses you are ever likely to find. For those with bigger ideas, you can visit Ardglass Links course, which boasts the oldest Club House in the world. As you stroll between holes, you will get a great view of “Coney Island” immortalised in song by Van Morrison.
Whether you walk, cycle, or just drive, the Ulster Way provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the coastline. For naturists, Castle Espie Bird Sanctuary is a must, or visit the hide at Delemont park, enjoy all the wildlife that can be found in and around the Lough.

Strangford Lough is the largest sea inlet in the British Isles, Littered with small islands and calm waters, abundant marine life and ship wrecks, make it ideal for diving and sailing.
There are over 800 miles of signed routes that are part of the National Cycle Network, most on quiet country lanes and roads. We are only a few miles away from the Comber Greenway – a 7 mile traffic free cycle route which runs from Belfast to Comber on the old railway line.
